By booking any activity or trip by Erasmus Life Lisboa, a brand held by Associação International Life Lisboa, you declare that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions. No exceptions to these terms will be applied or given.
Membership
The membership fee is non-refundable.
The Erasmus Life Lisboa & Erasmus Life Porto Card is reserved for:
- International students under a mobility programme, including Erasmus, Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundial and exchange programmes.
- Young professionals under 28 years old from an EU country who are currently residing in Portugal.
- International students currently enrolled in a Portuguese university or equivalent higher-learning institution.
Non-member tickets are reserved for:
- International students under a mobility programme.
- Young professionals under 28 years old from an EU country who are currently residing in Portugal.
- International students currently enrolled in a Portuguese university or equivalent higher-learning institution.
- Portuguese nationals enrolled at a university who have previously participated in a mobility programme.
If you are not in one of the eligible categories, or cannot provide proof when requested, you may be refused entry or participation. Any refund will depend on the contractual liabilities with our partners.
Liability
Associação International Life Lisboa is not responsible for illness, damage caused, lost items or injuries during or after our events. If a customer causes damage to another person, another person’s property or themselves, that customer is responsible for paying the damages.
Bookings
When a member makes a reservation or booking, they must complete the online form with the trip or event and its date. It is the student’s responsibility to enter the correct information.
If a student misses, cancels or is refused participation because the date or other information was entered incorrectly, the Associação International Life Lisboa cancellation policy applies and no exceptions will be given.
Student trip & event cancellations
Associação International Life Lisboa is not responsible for, and will not issue refunds for, cancellations caused by illness, strikes, acts of terrorism, poor weather, war or other sudden events outside its control.
Cancel before departure for a 100% refund when the required purchase receipts are presented.
Required for trips longer than one day and boat parties.
No refund will be issued under any circumstances.
No refund is due if a member does not attend on the day of the trip or event, including because of illness, incorrect form information, poor weather, war, terrorism, strikes or other uncontrolled events.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing or by email.
Instead of cancelling, a student may give their place to another member until one week before departure. The office must be informed so the ticket can be changed. Ticket changes carry a service cost.
ELL cancellations & date changes
If Associação International Life Lisboa changes an event date for any reason, the event will be scheduled for a later date at no additional cost.
If a student who booked the original date cannot attend the new one, they will receive a 100% refund if they notify the ELL team within 72 hours of the change notification and present the required purchase receipts.
Without notification, the student is assumed to be willing and able to attend the new date, and the regular cancellation policy applies.
Student trip date changes
Trip or event date changes are allowed without an extra charge when requested at least five business days before departure. If the student later decides to cancel, no refund will be issued and the regular cancellation policy does not apply.
Refund collection
Refunds for trips cancelled by Erasmus Life Lisboa must be collected within one week of refund confirmation by Associação International Life Lisboa management. After that period, the refund will be cancelled and no exceptions will be given.
Changes in itinerary
An itinerary may change at any moment during a trip or event when the change is unavoidable or beyond our control. This may include transport delays caused by weather or traffic, hotel changes made by the tour operator, bus-company changes, or changes to the order of visits and tours.
Personal travel
Associação International Life Lisboa is not responsible for personal travel that is not included in our combined trips, including connections to origin cities. We are not responsible for, and will not refund, personal-travel costs arising from itinerary changes or for any other reason.
Accommodation
Accommodation on combined overnight trips may be in double, triple, quadruple or higher-occupancy rooms. Sharing a double bed may be necessary. Individual rooms, and in some cases double rooms, carry a supplement that varies by trip.
If a traveller books alone and prefers to share to avoid the supplement, we will try to place them with other students but cannot guarantee it. If sharing is not possible, the traveller must pay the individual-room supplement before joining the trip. If they cancel instead, the cancellation policy applies.
Special requests
Associação International Life Lisboa will do its best to accommodate requests concerning rooms, bus numbers, special meals and similar needs. Special requests are not guaranteed.
Promotions & sale offers
- Promotions and sales are available during the stated dates and only to Associação International Life Lisboa members. Promotional prices do not apply before or after that period. If no end date is stated, the promotion expires one month after launch.
- With multiple-trip promotions, cancelling one or more trips changes the refund calculation: the refund equals the trip price minus the discount originally received.
- To receive a multiple-trip promotion, the trips must be purchased on the same day or within seven days of each other, unless ELL management states otherwise. Purchases made outside the promotion period do not receive the discount.
Taxes
All taxes are included in the base price of all trips and events.
Photography
Associação International Life Lisboa usually hires photographers for events and parties and holds the rights to the photographs taken during those events. By participating, you waive rights regarding the use of these pictures. Images may be published on our website, Facebook, Instagram and other social networks, and may be used in promotional materials for the association.
Visas & ID cards
Most EU citizens do not need passports for our trips and may travel with their national ID card. Ask the association’s staff or guides to confirm whether your ID is valid for travel. Passports and ID cards must be valid and up to date.
Some nationalities require a visa in addition to a passport for certain trips. If you are unsure, ask us before booking. Associação International Life Lisboa is not responsible for customs problems caused by invalid or expired passports, ID cards or visas. Any resulting fees are the student’s responsibility.
